Termites, also known as white ants, are Timber Pests that feed on dead plants and trees. They are social insects that live together in colonies of up to several million and work underground and live in tunnels for the purpose of exploring food sources.
As wood is their predominant food source, termites often find their way above ground provided there is a constant food source … your home.
If you have found termites in your home, the first and most important thing to do is NOT DISTURB THEM
If disturbed, the termites can relocate and attack a different area of your home. This can then prolong the termite control process.
Do not remove any damaged timber and do not spray them with any fly/insect spray
Cover the exposed area back up if possible
We will inspect the entire property and give you an extensive 11 page report of all our findings

Yes. Removing debris from around and under the building such as timber, logs, stumps and heavy foliage will reduce the risk. Also fixing leaky pipes and improper drainage such as any water residing next to the external perimeter from a hot water tank overflow or an air conditioning condensation pipe. Removing moisture issues and their food source will reduce the risk of a Termite attack
Termites infest and damage approximately one out of every five houses in Australia. Termites cause more damage to homes in Australia than Fire, Floods, Storms and Tempest, combined.
Termites can cause extensive damage to a property in short periods of time depending on the size of the colony and the species of Termite
The Australian Standards recommend an annual Termite Inspection
